I dumped google months ago in favor of DuckDuckGo.

Fake news. Put the bird logo into any search and you’ll get the same result. Searching on Taliban Violence gets 1.3m hits.

Nearly all news reports on youtube have large pictures of Trump in dancing poses covering up the horrific scenes the newscasters are describing. Doubtful the news clips were posted that way, but “fixed” or “edited” by propagandists at Google.

No way would I defend Google but why is there a parrot in the search box? A lot comes up with only ‘Taliban violence’ in the box.

I have also noticed that google searches on political matters do not lead to what I am looking for, but usually to benign items, some having nothing to do with what I am looking for.

Some of the links I bookmarked a couple of years ago now lead to “404. Page not found.”

This is a deliberate manipulation of search results.

DuckDuckGo does not manipulate results. Try the searches in both places.

There is no doubt that google manages searchstrings and results.
