The Cycling Tour of Spain will visit Almuñécar and La Herradura this next Tuesday, August 24, on the occasion of the tenth stage that will run between Roquetas de Mar (Almería) and Rincón de la Victoria (Málaga).

It will be a stage called for the profiles that are usually planned from there that will consist of 189 kilometers of route. Suitable for escape or arrival to sprint. You will only have a mountain pass about 15 km from the finish line. This stage will arrive after the first day of rest of the peloton so it ventures like a great show.

There is no doubt that the atmosphere on the national highway 340 will be important throughout the entire route and, especially, in some "climbs" such as the Mirador de Cotobro or Cerro Gordo, for the enjoyment of the fans.

Regarding the schedule provided by the Sexitano municipality, the organization estimates that the passage of the squad is between 2 and 3 p.m., however everything will depend on the rhythm and the weather situation.

La Vuelta is a huge cycling event similar to the Tour de France. It's also one of those sports best watched on TV. We walked the 100 meters or so from our house to the road where it was running the last time it went through our area, on top of a hill so we figured it would slow them down a bit to give us a better look. We waited over an hour for the riders to show up and in about 15 seconds they were past us and out of sight.

We happen to live near a stretch of coastal road that is wonderful for cycling and motorcycles so it's no surprise to see professional cycling teams practicing here on the weekends. For the local cycling fans this is a big deal.
