No.

Why even bother mentioning turtles. How about 3-billion-year-old Archaea?

But the fact is that, while fossils often show that few gross morphological changes are apparent, on a microscopic level (think: immune response), tremendous strides in evolution have taken place.

No turtle currently living could breed with a 100-million-year-old turtle (were it to suddenly appear).
