I believe they said that the original test couldn’t tell the difference between it and the flu, But they can tell the difference if they look at the actual DNA.
But are they spe ding the mo ey and time to do that all over the cou try to try to detect new variants? Maybe they are, but seems improbable. I think most docs do basic testing on Patients just to see if they have ,covid antibodies. But again, maybe they are sending g them out to specialized labs.
