That is true. Certainly a standout for fiscal conservatism and a lot of cultural agreement as well. As he did in Indiana as governor. Not crazy about the Pharma machinery in Lilly (which is a kingmaker of sorts in Indiana, but Lilly is/was on. As the article says— the political side of Exec hiring at Lilly is the former governor. There are several “lib” like items Daniels supported/supports that belies a “conservative” description... more like a “bushie” (the declining dynasty that ended with Jeb!).
A an aside, ethically, Lilly is not the monster (with the business plan that encorporates the Fedgov as single source contractor “partner” for fedgov obamaumaocare pharma, which was and still is Pfizer’s plan) that is Pfizer, or as the pros say in the industry, acquired and then Pfired— the graveyard of major US pharma innovators now gone: Upjohn, Wyeth, Parke-Davis- once the top pharma company in the US, Monarch, Pharmacia and Searle/Monsanto, and they are still trying to rip/spinoff Bristol-Myers Squibb.
The dangling “bushie” participle (and continuing bush connex) has not helped Daniels. His fiscal conservatism have always related to... like a David Stockman, or Reagan.
5 posts = boring topic. At least Mosby gets a participation trophy. He’s just all over the place.
