One of the advantages of living out in the sticks, we get few scammers in person because it’s not worth the scammer’s cost of gas, rural people can see BS from miles down the road, and our property is fenced and gated. Only had 1 case of attempted scamming (possibly robbing) here, from fake electricity plan salesmen who looked like tweakers, a few years back.

We live out in the sticks in heavy hardwood forest, our drive is 1/2 mile long into the heavy woods. Yes, FedEx and UPS deliver here, but no trick-or-treaters and very few strangers ever come here. Years ago a city friend coming to see us who had never been here was 100' from our house but lost. Called me, "I'm in the middle of a jungle and have no idea where I am! HELP!" But then, this sign helps:
