The problem is that the people with money who could afford to flee did, and they’re bringing their liberal politics with them. I’ve seen dozens of signs here in rural Florida that say “Don’t New York my Florida,” but I suspect Florida is slowly tint purple and eventually blue due to the influx of northerners.
So many people say it’s just the right-wingers escaping, but I don’t buy that for a minute. Liberals with money know how to preserve their wealth while dictating to those around them policies that will just see them fleeing again in 20 years.

That is because many conservatives just want to be left alone to live their lives in peace.
