Geezus, this means we still have Americans on the ground in Kabul. I don’t want to hear any crap from the RATS, NeverTrumpers, Middle East policy wonks and the drive bys that this is Trump’s fault. Senile Joe and his handlers have had eight months to coordinate an orderly withdrawal from that s**thole of a country, and now they pretty much have made it a “every man and woman for themselves” situation with the military hastily being thrown in to do what they can to avoid a total disaster.
We still have a lot of Americans on the ground. Military, private contractors (I’ve read 3000+/-). I’ve also read that we quietly pulled our intel assets (CIA, etc.) on July 1st. If true we’ve had no on the ground intel for six weeks.
Good post. Listening to lots of news today a bunch of CYA stuff by people who were in a position to at least do something. At this point I’m looking for someone to own the mess and articulate a cohrent policy. I don’t see anybody like that. For the record I’m someone who about 5 years ago started to think that we didn’t need another 19 to 24 year old soldier to die in that place.
