Movie was made by Director Stanley Kubrick who suddenly died either before the movie was released or shortly after it was released. A very creepy movie.

Kubrick is believed to have wanted to expose their secrets through symbology with Eyes Wide Shut. According to one witness - someone on his staff, during his screening with the studio's officials, a massive argument broke out that spilled into the hallway. Eventually, something like a half-hour of the film was cut and not just abandoned, but burned - supposedly the only copy. He died a few days later exactly 666 days before Jan 1, 2001. Of course, his iconic film is "2001 A Space Odyssey". They love their dates.
