“Come Sail Away” and “Mr Roboto” keeps them out of the HOF, and rightfully so.

Whitney Houston. Screw the influences angle that supposedly got her in. She had zilch influence on R&R artists.

How do we define rock and roll?

Is Billy Joel considered rock? Barry Manilow? Bee Gees? Elvis? Beatles? Van Halen? Olivia Newton John, Elton John? Is there a certain definition of rock or rock and roll?

I’ve been called out by some people for talking of rock and roll, because they said some singers are rock, not rock and roll. I have no clue what that distinction is.

Styx was good, but maybe they were too much like REO Speedwagon, Boston, and Motorhead.
All very entertaining bands for that style, but all share some similarity.

I’m right with you there! Grand Illusion is on my top ten personal favorite albums.

Good song!

I was in elementary school, and close by this concert in the early 1980s.

I like to dedicate this next song to the people of Kabul:

‘Babe I’m leaving, must be on my way, the time is growing near …’; …

That was literally the last song I heard in a Jeepny when I left the PI in 1980 …. Good memories

They’re not there for the same reason many other truly greats aren’t: Why should they PAY for recognition?

The R&R HOF is a scam, a farce and an embarrassment to music fans that actually pay attention to the politics behind.

Enjoy it if you can. I’ll not even enter Ohio if I can avoid it.

Not much of a fan of their original hits to be honest, but their covers are THE best! “I Am The Walrus” and “Bohemian Rhapsody”, for example.

And how many rock bands perform the Hallelujah chorus live?
