I can’t believe this, not even a little bit. Firstly, Brown is not a serious school. But you can’t say lock-down babies lost 20% of their intelligence. Thats crazy. Their mothers are with them all the time. Maybe they found mothers who threw their babies in a closet or something. But I am thinking its just a bunch of interns who took their first survey and got it wrong.
Unfortunately, the author of the DailyMail article mistakenly says “IQ”. The paper the article refers to makes no mention of IQ.
The only measures they refer to are “early learning composite”, “verbal development quotient”, “non-verbal development quotient”.
For those measures, the kids they measured were down by 20 compared to those of earlier years in the ECHO study (see post 48).
