That’s so freakin’ hilarious! I’ve queried owners of horses, as well as dogs, goats and cats and they’ve all sworn they’d never contemplated that! I’ve eaten horse meat and goat meat. Not a big fan and I’ve certainly eaten “mystery meat” in my travels. But, they’ve never been pets!

While working in Mexico, I stopped at a roadside taco stand outside Monterrey. I was being driven around by locals.

We got a bunch of tacos and cokes. I asked the locals what kind of meat was in the tacos. They shrugged their shoulders. Whatever it was, it was good.

The only animal I've eaten which is on the pet/livestock boundary line is rabbit. My friends with a couple pet bunnies don't like me calling them hasenpfeffer.
