I agree that they were introduced way too soon without enough testing.
But what amount of testing over what period of time would have been “enough”? One year? Two years? 10 thousand test subjects?
My point is that however stupid it may have been to risk it, tens of millions of people have now taken the JJ vaccine starting as long as 6 months ago.
They can now be considered test subjects - and that is a LOT of testing.
We can watch them for a little while longer and consider the JJ vaccine well tested.
I haven’t been vaccinated - mostly because Covid doesn’t scare me at all. I don’t believe in getting vaccinated for something I’m not even worried about catching.
But if I had to - for whatever reason - I’d pick JJ because it’s a real vaccine and at this point with all the people that have already taken it (and not sprouted a third ear or anything) - I’d consider it well-tested.
