3 of our 4 cars have no GPS.

Most car insurance providers already require that you report milage on your odometer once a year. I suspect every care manufactured in the last twenty years already records in their onboard computers, more than you want to know about your car.

My insurance company (State farm) doesn’t ask for the odometer reading.

We have cell phones, which have gps. They’ll track us that way.
