Yes, rescind the 17th, but don’t look for Congress (which includes the US Senate) to ever do that.

Originally, as some people here may not know, the US Senate represented the States (you know, the United STATES of America). The state legislatures elected the senators.

Then the 17th Amendment was allegedly ratified and senators were elected by popular vote by the people and became glorified representatives.

Then big money bought whatever senators it wanted to buy. And it bought up all of them. Occasionally one goes off script here and there, but the uniparty can count on almost all of them to line up and vote for what big money wants on the truly important votes.

State legislatures are the swamp’s JV. Full of ambitious and climbing politicians. We need look no further than the stolen election to see that expecting them to do anything against the interests of the entrenched establishment is a fools errand.
