Why does he keep saying Spanish Flu of 1917? Third time I’ve heard him say it. It was identified in 1918 among U.S. Military personnel in KS. What am I missing? Lol

There were three waves. Spring of 1918 was the first, fall of 1918 the second, third was winter of ‘18/spring of ‘19.

Perhaps he believes the 1917 China origins.

Although some researchers argue that the 1918 pandemic began elsewhere, in France in 1916 or China and Vietnam in 1917, many other studies indicate a U.S. origin.
