His father Charles was the first person to pilot a solo non-stop trans-Atlantic flight in 1927, and his mother Anne Morrow Lindbergh was the first woman in the United States to earn a glider pilot's license.

Charles Lindbergh's public reputation and renown were irreparably damaged by his Nazi sympathies prior to our entry into the war. He and Goering were good buddies....

I wouldn’t be surprised. Goering was a pretty good pilot in WWI and I’m sure he and Lindy could share lots of flying stories. Lindbergh certainly chose to overlook how vile the Nazis were.
