“I’ve narrowly missed hitting an owl on several occasions.”
Back in the 70s, I hit one while driving a very low Chevy Vega on a rural highway at night. The hit was high on the windshield and I heard it bounce off the back deck. It suddenly swooped in out of the darkness to appear right in front of my windshield in a blur of wings. No damage to my vehicle, thankfully.
OH! The bird had a name. That means millions of people will be mourning the bird’s death and demand an investigation.
