Reason #4589 why I will never be a landlord.
Two years ago, I had to evict two families with small children and one single woman all because they’d violated their parole. Not the two husbands, mind you, the two wives and the single woman. The two mothers were in their late thirties and both had two children. The single woman was divorced. I followed the cases and the judges bent over backwards to keep them out of prison. The houses were trashed. Essentially, unlivable. I kept the doors closed while we rebuilt them from the inside out. That year was a huge loss.
So far, everyone has continued paying their rent, with just one exception. If he’d been honest I’d have given him six months free. But he kept saying everything was just fine...up until the neighbor called me saying, “Your tenant has moved out.”
“Reason #4589 why I will never be a landlord.”
You and me both.
What’s a landlord to do. The only option is to sell out. It’s clear that the left is intent on eliminating private property one way or another.
I own 12 houses all tenants fully paid up. Situation is crazy I don’t understand any of it
