I will explain my love for the HU.
1. I like the traditional Mongolian instruments and musical motifs, throat singing, and afaik, rhythms, and of course the energy. I find it very uplifting. (I also love Indian classical music, Indonesian gamelan, and my fave western music is Bach, bluegrass, and real old timey Appalachian music.)
2. Their lyrics are upfliting - warrior spirit - fighting evil, supporting virtue. Often using ancient Mongolian themes, writings and traditions.
3. Some are very sweet, like the exchange between elderly parents and the young warrior as he leaves home, and the Legend of the Swan.
4. They are encouraging Mongolians to MMGA - Make Mongolia Great Again - to uphold the worthy traditions of their culture that such as rule of law, respect for women, respecting elders, stand up against evil, and so on.
5. I did some research on Mongolia and found that it has a two thousand year history of religious tolerance and freedom. They have never repressed religious beliefs. Chinggis Khan (aka Gengis) consulted the wise of all religions available there when he made his plans. Currently there are unbelievers, Shamananists, Buddhists, Christians and Muslims in Mongolia (I am sure the Muslims behave themselves, they are a small minority along with Christians).
I just finished this new book - excellent! Novel about the V2 program in Germany and counter-efforts in England..in a novel.
