Am I reading the study right that vaccination leads to an about 36% decrease in the chance of severe COVID? AOR of 0.73.
Seems like a pretty ineffective vaccine.

Would you explain how you got 36%? The msn.com article tends to give general conclusions rather than precise statistics.
I clicked through to the linked study and found this:
Despite significantly older age in the vaccine breakthrough group, the odds of severe COVID-19 requiring oxygen supplementation was significantly lower following vaccination (adjusted odds ratio 0.07 ....)
So maybe 93% effective? Is that what the 0.07 means?
