I worked as a checker at waddlemat for three years. It was 50 years ago. Never had one incident but dealt with many disagreeable and surly customers. Never once thought of hitting one. I knew better.

There may be two sides to this story but the other side is a weak argument written on the 70 year-old’s face.

Benefit of doubt is withdrawn when warranted. She will have her day in court but Walmart will pay. She forgot the golden rule of retail if she ever knew it. The customer is always right. The lower you are in the food chain the more absolute the rule is. That is why tjere are managers.

Thank you for a reasonable response. Obviously you have worked retail and dealt with the public so you know what is out there.

There are two things in this story that need answers:

Why did the other customers not help "a little old lady" when she was getting beaten? Almost certainly somebody would under normal circumstances, I know I would.

The bruising on the victim is typical of the type of injury someone gets when they are wearing glasses and the frame gets struck. How the frame got struck is the story.
