NEW YORK (AP) — An investigation into New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo found that he sexually harassed multiple current and former state government employees, state Attorney General Letitia James announced Tuesday.

The nearly five-month investigation, conducted by two outside lawyers who spoke to 179 people, found that the Cuomo administration was a “hostile work environment” and that it was “rife with fear and intimidation.”

When asked if any criminal charges will be laid against the governor, James said her department’s investigation was not focused on that.

Perhaps some of the legal minds on here can weigh in, but if the evidence shows criminal violations, they CANNOT be ignored. The investigation just shifted, based on evidence and interviews, from a civil in to a criminal one. No stopping that now.

Fox is reporting that they discovered both state and federal criminal
violations.

They have no choice anymore.

The civil side just took a back seat and can/will be done concurrently.

For one, any penalties born out a civil suit can also come from a criminal prosecution, if I’m not mistaken.

No resignation. The job now is to find some anodyne charge to file, totally unrelated to the gropes and assaults, so that he won’t have to register as a sex offender. Then he can be an official member of the unregistered sex offenders we all know.
