Wow, reads almost like a Hollywood script. One could be forgiven for thinking the whole thing was made up. Or "based on a true story" which is generally an admission of the same thing.

The news does this all the time. There’s enough variety in people and situations they can cherry-pick that which fits their agenda. Some magnification and distortion not out of the question either.

Example: how many times do we hear the word “many” in headlines. A meaningless term out of context (sample v. population).
