It is interesting that once you see their lexicon a few times, it is unmistakable.

Back in the day before they realized how stupid it made them look to everyone else in the world, the Communist Chinese used to use some iteration of the phrase "...running dog imperialist lackeys..." and everyone in the world easily saw it as an identifier of pure communist propaganda.

We can see the same thing here with "This is not a hoax; this is real" or some variant.

No sane person believes the virus is a hoax. But the reaction to it and utilization of it by the government and various people is indeed a hoax.

People who are against vaccinations, masks, quarantines, shutdowns, massive government spending to combat it fall into three general categories, IMO:

Issues, with vaccines in general or with these COVID vaccines in particular.
Issues with the heavy-handed, one-size-fits-all approach to this pathogen which they do not feel warrants it. Shutting down an economy, intentionally destroying private business in the process and putting people out of work, stunting the emotional and intellectual growth of youth and isolating people would be something we would do for a pathogen with a greater than 10% lethality. And they wouldn't have to mandate vaccinations, quarantine, masking, and all the rest. People would do it because they would see the real risk.
Issues with the government being able to anti-constitutionally exercise its assumed powers to force people to undergo an invasive medical procedure, and one that clearly has safety issues. The vaccine itself may or may not be as deadly as some say, but it is CLEARLY not as safe as some say. This group sees this is as a personal rights and freedom issue. Again, if the virus was killing 10% or more of the people it infected, you would see far fewer people who were resistant to it taking all the actions they want mandated such as vaccination, masking, quarantining, and shutdowns, and more people doing it of their own free will.

If this were something like Smallpox of Bubonic Plague which could kill 40-50% of those it infected, this conversation would be a moot point because people would willingly accept it or even clamor for it, even for a dangerous vaccine that killed or injured a significant number who took it, and these same people would also probably willingly wear masks and quarantine if Covid was indeed that deadly.

But it is not that deadly. Not with a virus that kills roughly 2% of the people it infects overall (and even THIS figure is rightly disputed due to the variables and uncertainty of both the people succumbing to it (numerator) and the total number infected (denominator) make that number suspect) and is in actuality, highly weighted (in that grouping of deaths) towards infected people with co-morbidity issues that this level of lethality does not warrant the measures taken by government.

Personally, I am split between the second group (lethality does not warrant the measures taken) and the third group which sees this as a personal freedom/Constitutional issue, but am more heavily weighted towards the Constitutional issue of illegally punishing and reducing personal freedom of those who have objections to anti-Covid measures by restricting their travel, their ability to earn a living, and their freedom of association.
