Sort of misleading for the headline to use the word ‘now.’ That implies NOW (end of July). The data they talk about was from May. Pre-Delta variant. Much lower percent of population vaccinated, etc. This seems like stale, old news.

So, now it’s unvaccinated dying? Earlier today, rather yesterday, they said 76% of the new cases were vaccinated.

Testing positive for COVID is not the same as dying from it, or even becoming sick from it. Vaccinated people are still going to get COVID, they're just not in great numbers going to die from it or even become hospitalized from it.

This being said, many of the vaccinated are elderly people and they're still going to die.

I’m doing pretty good without one

Every American adult who wants to be vaccinated has had the opportunity to do so by now. Those that don't, for whatever their reasons, are not demanding that the government protect them from COVID by reintroducing mask mandates, lockdowns, etc. Most of these people were never particularly worried about COVID in the first place.
