Maybe it’s cultural. Some people my age (65) recall an entertainer called Charo. Charo (aka The Hoochie-Coochie-Girl) was/is a comedian who often appeared on late night shows like Johnny Carson.
She was a professional on acoustic guitar (studied with Andres Segovia!) , but she was far better known for her tight clothes and off colour jokes.
I think she was from Mexico.
She has a nice figure. She was bawdy and gaudy.
Charo used to set hair and makeup in very exaggerated ways too.
