Family say Branham planned to hike from Badwater to West Side Road, a 12-mile-round trip hike across salt flat. Admittedly I am not a hiker, but what is the point of hiking a salt flat.
All of the hikers I know hike scenic areas. They want to seem beautiful vistas.
What is there to see on a salt flat?
And to top that off there is no water or shelter for miles in any direction.
