Hunter Biden to art haters: ‘---- ‘em’

Hunter Biden has two words for those who think his artwork is overpriced: “F--- ’em.”

Eleven paintings by the President’s son are being shown by the George Bergès Gallery, which has estimated the work at a whopping $75,000 to $500,000.

According to the Washington Post, White House officials helped draft a document to keep purchasers confidential — including from Hunter himself — to stave off efforts to curry favor with the administration.

When asked during an appearance on the art-world-fave podcast, “Note Bene,” about his response to the hubbub and headlines over the prices and potential favor-seeking collectors, Biden quipped, “Other than ‘f–k ’em?'”

Biden told hosts, Vanity Fair art columnist Nate Freeman and curatorial services founder Benjamin Godsill: “I never said what my art was going to cost or how much it would be priced at. I’d be amazed if my art had sold for $10, just because the first time you ever go about it is the idea someone is attracted to your art, let alone that they would pay something for it.”

“The value of an artist’s work is not necessarily determined by the price,” Biden muses. “The price is completely subjective and sometimes has nothing to do with anything other than the moment.”

To make his point, Biden points to Maurizio Cattelan’s $120,00 work, “Comedian,” for which the artist famously taped a banana to a wall with duct tape at 2019’s Art Basel.

“It means something, and it meant something to someone. I am not saying I would be as audacious, or as presumptuous, as to tape a banana to a wall and try to sell it. But I think I’m doing stuff,” he says.

Meanwhile, my late father, who did better art than Hunter, in my estimation, was content to display his pieces at small, local shows and maybe sell a few for between $300 and $600 dollars apiece.

I think Hunter’s art is OK, but it’s likely that, were he not Joe Xiden’s son, he would be displaying his pieces at small, local shows, and maybe selling a few for between $300 and $600 dollars apiece.

Yes your daddy is currently in the White House and prior to this you were given high ranking positions in companies that you were unqualified for and rewarded well as your dad pulled strings to do things like get a nosey prosecutor fired.

I saw some photos. One looks like my car after it has been parked under a tree for a couple of days. The others weren’t my cup of tea but, considering the state of art, I can see how some people would like them. I expect the interest and the prices have more to do with the notoriety of the artist than anything else. I guess that puts me in the “**** ‘em” category.

“buy one”
Put it up for auction.

Watch it sink as it won’t even make minumum bid (there is no influence of Joe Biden by buying the painting from one of Hunter’s “fans”).

As such galleries sell works as “investments” at that price a close eye should be kept on the dealer defrauding the public with false claims of value/worth/appreciation.,

I keep wondering who is REALLY doing the paintings that he is selling under his name.

About a year or so ago there was a rather extensive article in one of the Art / Style magazines, can’t remember which, with lots of photos of him doing his ‘art’... And the technique and style shown in that article were completely different from what is being sold in the galleries.

Like most of the books that politicians been selling to launder money for decades, mostly being ‘ghostwritten’, I am relatively certain that Hunter’s money laundering art is ‘ghostpainted’.

Thanks for that insight. I Googled “Hunter Biden art scam” and see accusations that this is a method of influence peddling.

This is purposely done to wake more folks up by riling us up with Hunter absurdities. Hunter has no choice. He clearly signed a plea deal to save his own life on January 20. In exchange for escaping execution, he lives now to further the Great Awakening (and presumably life in prison).

Hunter: "...I just agreed ta' ... plea deal"
