If this guy is operating in the thousands of feet, this is a much higher achievement in technology (and guts) - even if he is dumb enough to enter the traffic pattern of LAX. (I entered the LAX control area 50 feet below my specified altitude while I was flying in a TAV-8B Harrier and got my butt chewed by the controller).

Saw that in person back in the sixties being flown into a stadium. The guy flew from the parking lot, over the bleachers, and onto the outfield.
Short flight and very loud.

I was wondering what sort of jetpack could get a man that high and that fast.
Is there a picture? There are ‘flying suits’ that incorporate small turbojets and a wingsuit, but they are deployed jumping from an aircraft.
This is just weird!
Remember the slogan from hang gliding: “never fly any higher than you are willing to fall”
That slogan changed to “never fly about 13,000 ft without supplemental oxygen.
