Exactly so. In most countries density tracks very closely with cases - or rather detections. It may not just be that densely populated places offer more opportunities for contagion, but that testing is more common and available in those places.

Its the old problem of finding things where it is well lit. Its likely there are things to find in the dark places too, but they are harder to find.
