I had ah ... "an encounter" or slight disagreement with a millennial a couple of years ago. It ended with me referring to him as both a dumb-**s and a snowflake. He actually asked me to apologize - said something to the effect of "...I don't like the word 'snowflake' and I think you should apologize for calling me that." I told him asking for an apology for being called a snowflake merely proved my point and then I walked away shaking my head and smiling.

My point is, apologies are over-rated. Any apology someone has to ask for or coerce is no real apology. Hint, if you are truly self-secure and self-assured, you don't care what other people think of you. You don't care if they apologize or not because they don't matter. Running around worrying about or feeling like you're owed an apology is a sign of weakness and insecurity.
