“One of the things that I will say contributed to her death, Angelle was large for her age. She was obese,”

Almost all breakthroughs are in the elderly and immunocompromised. Most are female and most are over 60. One third have been asymptomatic, 10% were hospitalized and 160 died. Those that died were over age 82.
As of April, 2021, there were 10K breakthrough infections out of 100 million vaccinations. That’s about 5 decimal points, not even big enough to be a statistic. Especially when compared to the unvaccinated deaths.

A bit behind the times, eh, considering the Delta variant’s arrival on the scene.
“ Scientists from the United States have recently estimated the prevalence of vaccine breakthrough cases caused by the delta variant of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).
Their findings reveal that about 58% of all new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases are due to the delta variant and that the prevalence of vaccine breakthrough cases associated with the variant is as high as 20%. The study is currently available on the medRxiv* preprint server while awaiting peer review.
Although no significant correlation was observed between delta cases and age, gender, hospitalization rate, duration of hospital stay, and disease severity, Asians exhibited relatively higher susceptibility and Hispanic or Latinos showed relatively lower susceptibility to being infected with the variant.”
She wasn’t just large for her age. She was positively massive.
Covid is popping the bubble of “body positive” delusion and those who try to convince society that being 5’5” and 300lbs is healthy and beautiful. Covid is a big, ugly smack of reality across the face.
Want to not worry about Covid? Start by losing some weight.
Obese menopausal or post-menopause women need to take a hard look at their sugar and carb consumption. That stuff is killing them, with or without Covid.
Covid seems to be a heat-seeking missile for fat people.
I understand that it is really very easy to get 'fat' (and even obese) in the United States where we are surrounded by easily accessible fatty, sugary, and fried foods. All very tasty. But this is truly an addiction - that is hard to kick - but this CoVid should be a strong wake-up call to lose weight, and watch what you eat. God designed our bodies, and they are very sturdy, but we aren't supposed to continually poison it.
Don't fall for pseudo science. The reason that ratio is "not big enough to be a statistic" is that it isn't a "statistic" in the first place.
There is no reason to calculate the breakthrough infection rate as compared to the total number of people who have been vaccinated. You might as well compare the number of infections to the number of vaccinated people in the entire world. The relevant ratio is the percentage of vaccinated people exposed to the virus who are infected.
In denial and drinking the Kool Ade. The next 2 to 3 months will be an eye opener
