Sure, if you have ever competed in a team sport, you have screwed up at key times which probably cost your team a win....
But I know one thing for sure, I never quit on my teammates......as another poster said, she wasn’t exactly Storming the Beaches of Normandy....
Amen. I rowed crew in college, and “catching a crab” — burying your oar too deep in the water & losing control of it — was about the worst thing to have happen in practice or during a race. The boat depends on eight rowers and the coxswain working in unison. But you don’t give up; you recover control of the oar and get back in the race! Make apologies after, and do not quit!
