As always, I marvel at the populace being shocked that the vaccinated are catching the natural virus.
The animal trials, before covid was even a thing, pointed to problems when confronted with the natural virus.
Yet here we are, dumbfounded why vaccinated are catching covid, when the trials pointed right at it.
It was man-made. It’s not naturally-occurring.
That likely comes from the vaccine marketing. It was touted as being highly effective but in reality, it seems to be not nearly as effective as it was claimed. Maybe the correct way to put it is that it did not live up to the personal expectations of what highly effective actually means in the vaccine world, especially this one.
If they marketed it using clear terms. You can still get covid after the vaccine. If you get covid after the vaccine, you can still have a serious illness or even death from covid. You can still spread covid to others. Then list all the observed side effects. The expectations would be more realistic. That did not happen. It was marketed to be the savior of the world. Get it or be treated as a second class citizen or shunned entirely. Expectations of perfection were assumed by way too many people.
Of course you can catch Covid. The question is whether you get hospitalized. I got the Delta and didn’t even come close to needing care. Moderna in April
