I would find a reputable contractor who is willing, for a fee, to go thru the house, top to bottom. I found out the hard way about some housing inspectors.
Agreed. Our first house, we hired an inspector and he found some common issues. My BIL came over after we bought the house and he asked about the fire in the house. Said we weren’t told about any fire. We were in the basement and they had the cheap, white porcelain lamps and he wiped his finger across it and said, that’s soot.
