It seems that even mentioning the title or author of such a book has become “horrific harm” or maybe “terrible and racist harm,” let alone “traumatizing” and putting authors “in danger through a forced association.” All I can think of is the confession of Zinovyev at his 1936 Stalin show trial.

All press serves to promote a book, even “bad” press. Ergo they cannot mention the books by title or author. When the American Library Ass does their annual banned book week display these will not be among them in libraries or bookstores. These aren’t books you should even know exist.

Larry Elder released a documentary last year that beat out all of the documentary Oscar nominees combined in ticket sales and had strong RottenTomatoes review ratings.

He couldn’t get the LA Times to review his film etc etc.

Every political commentator always puts their argument into a box of left and right.

All ignore the zeitgeist.

It’s the third category that will shock them.

There is no orthodoxy because for orthodoxy you need stable goal posts, which they do not have. Instead what I think we’ve got is Lefties who think they know how things should work and who want things to be a certain way. When reality doesn’t line up they keep changing the rules in order to effect the desired outcome. This is how brain drains happen. There is a contingent of resentful haters in this group that are getting another larger group of suckers to support their ever changing demands. I think we can compare that group to a community that supports witch hunts. Witch hunts have burned out in some parts of the world while they are still going strong in others. Your mileage will vary, but in some cases, like the sanctimonious “In This House We Believe…” signs, you are probably looking at a fad I think, which will have a shorter sell by date than most witch hunts since its all about being fashionable.

But yeah no, there is no orthodoxy because to be orthodox you need a stable set of rules.
