speaking of overwintering plants, I experimented with two pepper plants upstairs in my bathroom on boards over the tub....that tub gets used rarely with a shower to use....

the peppers survived but died when I put them in the "hot" house thinking the weather would be okay in April but we got a bad frost....down went the peppers...

but this year, I am going to overwinter several plants...

I always am so hopeful at the beginning, and things usually go very well for the first 6 weeks. Then the winter drags on, and I just barely make it through to late April when I can bring out the hardier plants to acclimate.

My husband has requested that I not use the dining room again this year, so I will have to be pickier and more creative in my overwinter space. Sometimes I wonder if I should stop doing so many. It does get a little overwhelming, but I love my plants so much, and I’m so happy when they make it through another season.
