Tom Hanks is a big Cleveland sports fan. He spent a few years in Cleveland in the late seventies as a stock member of the Great Lakes Shakespeare Festival (now Great Lakes Theater). It was were he first became an paid actor & for many years after making it big he would return to act in many of the productions.
He’s been instrumental in their campaigns to raise money.
He was particularly a big Indians fan. Now Guardians, I guess.
