Transmission did happen at the Safari Park in January when an asymptomatic employee passed coronavirus to a gorilla troop. The gorillas had a cough but made a full recovery.

Yep I hear you. I guess the vets at the zoo incorporate vaccines into the care of the animals. It does seem like overkill, unless somehow this virus is far more deadly and severe in some animals than it is in humans.
