Any President, whether Trump or his predecessors, tend to be surrounded by a Praetorian Guard. The inner circle controls the news sources to which a President has access. Given the effective veto power Senator McConnell and his fellow RINOs had over Trump's choices of Cabinet and sub-Cabinet officers, it would be difficult for a real conservative to have access. Additionally, family members Jared and Ivanka Kushner, with their Establishment leanings, had a great deal of influence on President Trump.
As a result, any news sources outside of "Conservatism, Inc.", such as Fox News or Salem Broadcasting, would have a difficult time reaching Trump.
