Lots of folks had it before tests were even available, and they tested negative for flu a, flu b, and strep.
And the Dr gave a prescription for Prednisone, and said come back if it doesn’t get better in five days (and the PA said get Sambucol elderberry cough syrup when you go to get your prescription).

I still wonder if I didn’t have a very light case late Feb / early Mar 2020. I had a couple nights where I ran a light fever. Was a week or two back from a West coast trip, including changing planes in Seattle, an early hot spot.
