A vaccinated coworker got sick and was hospitalized for one day. I got sick a week later and had to take a day off work to rest up. First time I had Covid I was in the hospital for a week!

???

So you had COVID-19 twice? Did you get the shots in between?

Yes, the vaccines were in Jan (1st Pfizer) and June (J&J) of this year. However, Covid imo is all about the viral load. The load needs to be enough to overwhelm the immune system to ‘get sick’. After having Covid or the vaccine the body already has antibodies it can crank up to eliminate the virus. This is what I went thru yesterday. Had to leave work sick and slept the whole day. Drank lots of water. This morning mostly all better and I have the day off to recuperate.

Before the vaccines I had to shop on Friday afternoons after work because within a few hours I would get badly fatigued. Then I would be wiped out Saturday and recover on Sunday. This is pretty much what I went thru yesterday and today.

The vaccines are an honor-system requirement at work and also for my Carnival cruises!!
