I found FR while looking for some sanity after 9/11/01. Finally joined in 2004, but have been a “lurker” for the most part. FR occupies probably 75% of my time on-line. It’s an amazing and irreplaceable resource.
Same here. Ever since 9/11, and I (was) canadian. Being here proved one point at least: those who protested the Iraq War were morons and anti-Americans. The real reason why canadians burned American flags had nothing to do with the war..it was their centuries old jealousy towards their rich neighbors and this was their time to vent and pile on.
I found FR after the “Sore Loserman” fiasco of 2000. I remember the night they called Florida for Gore - - It was like the heavens were screaming in my head that it was wrong and we would not know the real vote for some time.
FR then was a jewel.
