Back in the day, toy guns were very realistic looking, with the exception of ray guns, which looked nothing like actual ray guns. They started making them look like toys in the ‘80s with the red barrel tips and other wild colors.
Back in those days every kid I was friends with knew what a real gun was and knew to never point it at anyone or anything they didn’t want to put a hole in. And lots of kids got shot on accident, too, even back then.

It’s just an utterly dumb idea. And I’d *LOVE* one of their regular products, I’m as far from a gun hater as you can get.
Just a dumb idea all around, especially for a company that is strongly pro second amendment and supports the RKBA to give such a ‘own goal’ to the gun grabbers.
In the early 70’s I had a water pistol that was an exact copy of a Hi Standard Supermatic .22 target pistol.
