The tests are still the nasal swabs - they are supposed to show PRESENCE of the virus in the swab sample.
All these reports of Positive Test mean squat. The only useful stats are hospitalizations, extent of treatment(drugs, monoclonal antibodies), intubations, and deaths DUE TO pulmonary crisis.
But all we get are cases, cases, cases...
I think they are testing the wrong end of the body.. last I read the Delta showed up in wastewater treatment facilities across the state of Missouri in May.. near two months before parts of the state were being labeled ‘hot zones’.
Quite right, and the testing protocol differs by whether or not you’re vaccinated apparently. The stats and standards and protocols have shifted so much over the course of this thing that they can’t be relied on for anything.
