Pretty much as predicted, by the measured effectiveness of the vaccines.
Pfizer has an effectiveness (fully vaccinated) in the high 80’s% against Delta. Half of Israel’s cases are amongst minors, who are not vaccinated there (except for rare co-morbidities).
About half of the Adult cases (1/4 of total cases) are among vaccinated Adults. In Israel, about 90% of Adults have a first shot, about 80% are fully vaccinated. The 10% unvaccinated make up about half of Adult cases. I have not seen info on how much of the vaccinated cases are from among those with only a first shot.
Total numbers are low across the Country - they are now a low incidence Nation, whereas they were a high incidence Nation before vaccination.
As you increase in severity, from cases to hospitalizations to deaths, the protective effect of the vaccines becomes more pronounced, in Israel, as it does everywhere else.
