Yesterday saw big drops in stocks, starting in Europe over fears of the impact of Delta, and spreading to the USA when our markets opened yesterday. The Dow had its biggest loss of the year.
US COVID stats were delayed over the weekend, but the British numbers were bad. We will see how the US COVID stats look today. Clearly a Delta wave has been starting here in America, and it is getting into steeper climbing part of the curve.
So far, it seems that we will see far higher climb in cases than deaths (lower case fatality rates), as did the UK, thanks to vaccination generally, and to vaccinating the most vulnerable particularly.

In the UK, their science minister tweeted that 40% of their Covid hospitalizations are VACCINATED patients. The promise given when the vaccines came out was that the vaccinated, even if infected, will only have mild to asymptomatic cases and definitely NOT DIE of Covid. This recent turn of events does not give us much confidence in the vaccines.
