Don’t commercials for all kinds of prescription medications (”consult your doctor to learn if ___________ might be right for you”) run on Fox all the time? Maybe some of their ad revenue got threatened if they didn’t get with the program.
IF you watch the nightly news on ANY network: Fox, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN the majority of commercials are for new drugs just recently approved by the FDA. These are the drugs targeted at middle age or older people that have some type of major medical condition that affects their quality of life.
Humara and all the other fancy named drugs are very expensive.
The cost for each dosage is probably hundreds of dollars to your insurance company or Medicare. The drug companies make all their money on these drugs in the first 7 years. Then all the generic companies come out with the same thing made in India for a tenth of the price. Actually a lot of the new drugs are made in India too.
