I am so sick of “believe in science”. Science is not a belief system.
I was about to post the same thing, but you beat me to it.
Say that you 'believe in the Scientific Method', that would be fair. Present a hypothesis, run your experiments, collect data, rinse and repeat, present your findings.
"Believe in science" is just a virtue signaling mantra which is mostly used as a talisman when questioned about one's so-called conclusions. I.e., 'of course I believe in these vaccinations because I believe in Science'. Or its corollary, 'of course I believe in Global Warming because I believe in Science'...
Just shut up about 'believing in Science', and say you believe in the Scientific data, and show the data... Of course, nowadays, even though one might believe in the Scientific Method, the keepers of the data, and results, have given us plenty of reasons not to trust their data. But that's another problem.
